Krakow was the capital of Poland until XVII century. Beside to Lviv and Vilnius it was a centre of culture and political life for whole Europe. You can now explore Krakow with our guide who will show you this magic atmosphere of past years.
Your journey starts at the Warszawa Centralna train station where you will catch a train to Krakow. Journey by train from Warsaw to Krakow lasts 3 hours and when you arrive, our guide will await you on the platform.
After a short wander you will get to the vibrant Market Square. Every full hour you can listen to the bugle call here. It is played from the tower of St. Mary’s Church. There is also the world’s biggest wooden Gothic altar. You will not miss the Sukiennice (Cloth Hall) where you can buy some souvenirs like amber, jewellery and local handicraft. Next via Grodzka street you will head for Wawel Hill where the Wawel Castle and the Cathedral is located. It is said that the Dragon was lived there under the Castle. We will continue our walk until Collegium Maius, the oldest university building in Poland.
It is a full day trip. After your Walking Tour of Krakow you will get some free time for lunch and souvenirs. Late afternoon you will catch a train from Krakow to Warsaw.
We recommend train as as mean of transport for single tourists and 2-3 people groups. Transportation by car is financially beneficial for 4 and more people.
