Zelazowa Wola is a small village located on the Utrata River, 55 km from Warsaw. It takes 1 hour to get there and on the way you enjoy picturesque Mazovian landscape. This is where in 1810 Fryderyk Chopin was born. In a charming, 19th century manor house you will find a museum dedicated to this world famous composer. The manor house belonged to the Skarbek family whose children’s tutor was Chopin’s father. Nowadays it is surrounded by a large park where a few hundred rare plant species grow. From May until September piano recitals of Chopin’s music are given in the museum. You can listen to it through the open windows while walking around the park. Optional visit to the parish church in Brochow where Chopin’s parents were married and he was baptized.
