WALKING TOUR OF WROCLAW

Wroclaw (German: Breslau) is one of the oldest cities in Poland. Thanks to its numerous bridges and footbridges running over the River Oder is sometimes called Venice of the North. The oldest part of the city, Ostrow Tumski, was once a separate island. You will visit the impressive gothic churches, among them the Cathedral of St John the Baptist which is one of the main landmarks of Wroclaw. You can admire a panoramic view of the city from the top of the Cathedral’s tower. Across the Tumski Bridge lies a delightful 13th century Old Town. You cannot miss the impressive edifice of the University of Wroclaw with its magnificent baroque Aula Leopoldina ceremonial hall. Take a stroll to the bustling Market Square surrounded by graceful buildings, restaurants and cafes. This exceptional place is one of the biggest old market squares in Europe. In the basement of the beautiful medieval Town Hall you can savour classic Polish cuisine served in the oldest restaurant in Europe.
